Rachel Klopfer, DVM
Dr. Klopfer received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Neurobiology and Behavior at Cornell University in 1991, and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1997 at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She then completed a small animal rotating medical, surgical, and emergency veterinary internship program at Boston Road Animal Hospital in Springfield, MA.
Since graduating in 1997, she has been active in many animal shelters and with many spay/neuter programs. She was on staff at the MSPCA in Methuen, MA for 10 years and continues to volunteer monthly. Dr. Klopfer has traveled to the Dominican Republic to participate in Project Samana since 2013 as a team member and co-leader and she is on the board. This is a veterinary medical operative that focuses on sterilization and salvage procedures, urgent care, and humane education.
Rachel lives in Winchester, MA with her husband, her teenage children, and her furry entourage. She spends time off traveling, hiking, running, cycling, swimming, and cross fitting.
